Nature of the service
DealExchange provides a curated marketplace and buyer demand desk for South African business sale opportunities. Public pages may include representative profiles while real broker mandates are reviewed. Public teasers are advertising content only and are not offers, guarantees, valuations, financial advice or legal advice.
Paid broker subscriptions
Paid broker plan access is charged in South African rand through hosted checkout. A paid access period gives access to the broker workspace, listing capacity, lead inbox features, performance reporting, billing history, seat allowance where included and plan specific promoted placement credits. Prices, limits and features are shown on the pricing page and may change prospectively.
Renewal, cancellation and failed payments
A successful hosted checkout activates a 30 day paid access period unless separate written recurring billing terms apply. A broker may stop using paid access before the next period by contacting DealExchange. Failed, reversed, refunded or disputed payments may pause paid entitlements, remove promoted placement and move the account to Starter or another restricted plan. DealExchange may retain billing and audit records required for accounting, tax, dispute and security purposes.
Refunds and chargebacks
Refund requests are reviewed case by case. Subscription access already delivered, moderation work already performed and promoted placement already used may be non refundable except where required by law or where DealExchange confirms an operational error. Payment disputes, suspected payment abuse or disputed payment ownership may suspend the account while investigated.
Promoted placement
Promoted placement is an advertising benefit, not a guarantee of buyer enquiries, sales, offers or ranking permanence. DealExchange may refuse, pause, remove or expire promoted placement for listings that are unverified, stale, duplicate, misleading, unauthorised, confidentially unsafe, suspended or legally risky.
Authority to advertise
Brokers and sellers are responsible for the accuracy of submitted information and for having authority to advertise a business. DealExchange may require mandate evidence, seller confirmation, FFC or PPRA evidence where applicable, expiry dates, exclusive, joint or open mandate details and other verification material before publication.
Listings and moderation
DealExchange may reject, pause, edit, label, noindex, merge, redirect or retire listings where information is unverified, stale, duplicate, misleading, unauthorised or unsafe for confidentiality. Publication is never guaranteed merely because a broker has paid for a plan.
One business, one public opportunity
DealExchange keeps one canonical public teaser for the same underlying business where possible. Competing mandates, duplicate claims and authority disputes may be paused for admin review. Duplicate review does not reveal one broker's confidential information to another broker. DealExchange may select canonical representation, route leads according to documented authority, or reject expired or unauthorised submissions.
Buyer enquiries and confidentiality
Buyers must provide accurate contact and acquisition information. Confidential business names, exact addresses, staff or customer details, supplier contracts and full financial packs are released only after qualification, broker approval and any required NDA process.
No guaranteed enquiries or transactions
Subscriptions, moderation, publication, promoted placement and buyer qualification do not guarantee enquiries, offers, transaction completion, funding, seller acceptance or revenue for brokers or sellers.
Pricing boundary
The public marketplace model is broker subscriptions and promoted placement. Optional mandate packaging, broker profile buildout, concierge support and any other premium service must be covered by a separate written scope and invoice. Those services do not change subscription entitlements unless the written scope says so.
Suspension and offboarding
DealExchange may suspend or restrict accounts for non payment, suspected fraud, false mandate claims, expired authority, buyer data misuse, confidentiality breaches, security abuse, legal risk or breach of these terms. Suspension may pause listing publication, lead access, promoted placement and billing changes while preserving audit records.
Acceptable use
You must not scrape the site, submit false information, impersonate a buyer/broker/seller, upload malicious content, bypass confidentiality controls, misuse another party's confidential information, or attempt to interfere with the security or availability of the service.
Professional advice
Users remain responsible for independent legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, finance and commercial due diligence. Any attorney, accountant, finance or advisory engagement is separate from the marketplace subscription service.
Content and data handling
DealExchange owns its brand, site design, compiled marketplace content and operational workflow. Brokers and sellers retain rights in their submitted content but grant DealExchange permission to review, edit and display safe public teasers for the service. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy and POPIA Notice.
Limitation and changes
To the maximum extent allowed by law, DealExchange is not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, failed transactions, inaccurate seller or broker information, or decisions made without independent due diligence. We may update these terms prospectively and will keep the current version on this page.
