Privacy Policy

DealExchange collects the information users choose to provide through enquiry, alert and seller-intake forms. Some actions are stored in your browser through localStorage and may open an email backup path if secure capture is unavailable. This policy works alongside our POPIA Notice, which sets out the responsible party, lawful basis, operators, retention and your rights in full.

What may be collected

• Contact details supplied in buyer or seller forms.
• Search and saved-listing preferences stored locally in the browser.
• Basic, first-party marketplace analytics events used to improve the product. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Who processes your data

Form submissions are stored in our database (Cloudflare D1) and notifications may be sent via an email operator (for example Resend or Cloudflare Email). See the POPIA Notice for operator and cross-border detail.

Retention and your rights

We retain records for as long as needed for the deal process and legitimate record-keeping, then delete or anonymise them. You may request access, correction or deletion at any time.

What not to submit yet

Do not submit confidential documents, full financial packs, staff records or customer lists through public website forms. Those should only be shared through an approved secure process.
